Mark 8:35

Mark 8:35 For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.


This verse is amazing, I find myself always playing it safe. I mean, I'm scared to go on missions trips cause of deadly animals and insects, that's me savoring my life. I'm scared to share with people in my community and on my sports teams and at school because I don't want them to look at me different. And because of that, I could be losing opportunities to share God's word to the lost. We need to have a reckless love for God and the people around us. That doesn't mean a stupidly dangerous love, we still need to be smart with our lives. But we need to put others lives before ours. We need to lose our lives for Jesus, cause he suffered the cross and lost his life for us! I challenge you to start living out this verse, and to read the verses Mark 8:34-38 cause all the verses around it are awesome!
